🙏 Welcome Everyone!
Thank you for your interest in our project!
We are students from Shree Pashupati Secondary School, Kotihawa, proudly presenting our model on:
Wildlife Corridor, Agrobiodiversity (Agroforestry), and Ecovillage
with the theme: 🌿 Living with Nature 🌿
Wildlife Corridor
A wildlife corridor is a natural path or area that connects two or more wildlife habitats (like forests or parks). It allows animals to move safely from one place to another, especially for:
-
Finding food and water
-
Mating and reproduction
-
Escaping danger (like forest fires or human activities)
-
Avoiding inbreeding by meeting animals from other areas
✅ Main Functions:
-
Helps animals survive and thrive
-
Maintains biodiversity (variety of life)
-
Reduces animal-human conflict
-
Supports healthy ecosystems
🌱 Ecovillage
An ecovillage is a small community where people live in harmony with nature. Everything is planned to reduce harm to the environment.
✅ Key Features:
-
Uses renewable energy (like solar or wind)
-
Builds eco-friendly houses (from natural or recycled materials)
-
Recycles waste and uses compost
-
Grows food using organic farming
-
Promotes a shared, simple lifestyle
🎯 Goal: To live sustainably, protect nature, and build a strong community.
🌳 Agroforestry
Agroforestry means growing trees and crops (or keeping animals) together on the same land.
✅ How it works:
-
Trees are planted alongside crops or pastures
-
The system uses the benefits of both farming and forestry
-
Trees give shade, improve soil, and prevent erosion
-
Crops get better growth and protection
-
Farmers earn from multiple sources (wood, fruits, crops, etc.)
💚 Benefits:
-
Protects the environment
-
Increases farm productivity
-
Supports biodiversity
-
Reduces climate impact
